Exam Bootcamp
An intensive block over the spring holidays and the weeks before the English exam. You write under timed conditions in every session and get the script back marked before the next one — the fastest way we know to lift a score in a short window.
Most students lose marks to the clock, not the content
By October, the gap is rarely what you know — it's writing a full, controlled response in the time you actually get. Bootcamp closes that gap with volume and fast feedback.
Reps under real conditions
Every session is a supervised, timed write — reading time, no notes, exam paper format. The pressure stops being a surprise.
Feedback before you forget
Assessor-style marking within 48 hours, while the piece is still fresh — a band, what cost you marks, and the one change to make next time.
A bank of prompts and A+ samples
You leave with every practice prompt used in the block, high-range sample responses, and your own marked scripts to revise from.
What a session looks like
Warm-up & plan
A short review of last session's feedback, then a fast planning drill on the day's prompt.
Timed write
A full response under exam conditions — supervised, timed, no notes.
Marked in 48 hours
An English specialist marks it against the VCAA criteria with a band and targeted comments.
Debrief & re-attempt
You get the script back, we work the highest-yield fix, and you rewrite a section or a new prompt.
Runs online across Victoria and in person in Melbourne. Small cohorts, grouped by year level. Updated to the 2024–27 study design.

Best fit
Year 12 in the run-up to the exam
You've covered the texts and the argument-analysis method at school — now you need the mileage to make it automatic under time.
Students who stall under pressure
Strong SACs, weaker exam-style pieces. If your practice essays run out of time or lose control in the last paragraph, this is built for you.
Independent students without a tutor
No weekly tutoring? Bootcamp is a self-contained block — you don't need to be an existing student to join.
Accelerated Year 11s
Sitting Units 3–4 English a year early? Join the Year 11 cohort for exam-condition practice you won't get elsewhere.

Common questions
When does it run?
Add the dates. Broadly: a run of sessions across the September–October holidays, then weekly into the first weeks of term 4, finishing before the English exam.
Do I need to be a tutoring student?
No. Bootcamp is a self-contained program — plenty of students join for the block alone. Existing tutoring students get a reduced rate and their tutor sees the marked work.
Isn't there already an exam workshop in tutoring?
Every tutoring tier includes a 60-minute end-of-year workshop on general technique and language analysis. Bootcamp is the deep version — repeated timed writing across weeks, with every piece marked.
Online or in person?
Both. Online cohorts run statewide; in-person cohorts run in Melbourne. Sessions are supervised either way.
What if I miss a session?
You get the recording and the prompt, submit your timed piece by the deadline, and it's marked like everyone else's.
How big are the cohorts?
Small, and grouped by year level so the feedback and the prompts fit where you are.
